Putin and Trump held a phone call
Moscow, December 30 (Hibya) – Russian President Vladimir Putin and United States President Donald Trump held a phone call during which they discussed the progress of the US–Ukraine talks held in Mar-a-Lago.
According to CCTV, Russian Deputy President Yuri Ushakov said in a statement regarding the Putin–Trump call, “President Trump and the key advisers who took part in the conversation provided a comprehensive briefing on the main outcomes of the negotiations held the previous day with the Ukrainian delegation.”
Ushakov stated that Trump informed Putin that he had advised Ukrainian President Zelensky not to seek a military pause.
It was reported that Putin said Russia would take the necessary measures in response to the terrorist attack in question and that, as a result of this attack, Russia would update its stance on the Ukraine issue by reviewing some previously reached agreements.
According to data shared by Ushakov, in 2025 Putin had 17 contacts with US representatives, 10 of which were phone calls with Trump.
