Putin met with UAE President Al Nahyan
Moscow, August 7 (Hibya) – Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at the Kremlin.
UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Russia for an official visit.
Before the start of negotiations, an official welcome ceremony and delegation introductions were held in the Kremlin's St. George Hall for President Al Nahyan.
Russian President Putin expressed his pleasure in receiving his Emirati counterpart, stating: “We attach special importance to our relations with the United Arab Emirates. It is a friendly country to us. We maintain high-level political contacts. Our economic ties in trade and investment are developing. Mutual investments are increasing.”
UAE President Al Nahyan stated that the trade volume between Russia and the UAE has reached $11.5 billion, adding:
“We also have $30 billion in trade with Eurasian countries. In the next five years, we want this figure to double in both our bilateral relations and relations with Eurasian countries.”
