Russia: London is pressing for the seizure of frozen Russian assets
Moscow, 17 December (Hibya) – Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service claimed that the United Kingdom is pressuring the European Union (EU) to seize Russian assets frozen at Euroclear.
In a statement by Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, assessments by the Foreign Intelligence Service were cited. The statement alleged that London is pressuring Brussels to seize Russian assets frozen at Euroclear.
The statement said: “Lies, plunder and piracy once built the British Empire. Deception and theft remain the preferred tools of the so-called London gentlemen.”
