Before tomorrow’s U.S.-Russia talks in Alaska, Dutch Prime Minister Schoof met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Finnish President Alexander Stubb.

Schoof stated that they believe Ukraine is responsible for its own future and that genuine negotiations can only take place when Ukraine is at the table, adding: "In the meantime, we continue to support Ukraine unwaveringly. In this context, I am pleased that after the Netherlands, Germany also announced yesterday that it will purchase American weapons for Ukraine."

Schoof stressed that unity between Europe, the United States, and Ukraine is important to move closer to the common goal of lasting peace and ending Russia’s war of aggression.
