The strongest magnetic storm of February occurred
Moscow, February 17 (Hibya) – The strongest magnetic storm of February struck the Earth on Tuesday night.
According to the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the strongest magnetic storm of February occurred on Tuesday night.
Scientists emphasized, “A G2 magnetic storm that began overnight and ended quickly was the strongest of February.”
Researchers noted that recent developments on the Sun have followed an unusual pattern.
The Solar Astronomy Laboratory said: “Short, isolated flares appearing completely unexpectedly, followed by silence again. Auroras lasting 40 minutes. Now a magnetic storm lasting less than an hour. It seems they are expending their last resources.”
