Tsahkna emphasized that the death of Ayatollah Khamenei opens a window of opportunity for the Iranian people to determine their own future.

Stating that the regime has maintained its rule for decades through fear and repression, Tsahkna said: “International destabilization, the nuclear and missile program, and support for Russia’s war against Ukraine are part of this process.”

Highlighting that Iran’s future should belong to its people rather than a narrow ideological elite, Tsahkna added, “Pressure must continue until external aggression and internal repression come to an end.”

Referring to the European Union’s agenda, Tsahkna said: “Today, at the EU’s extraordinary meeting of Foreign Ministers, we will discuss the situation in the Middle East, the resumption of diplomatic efforts, and the strengthening of pressure on Russia and its supporters.”
