Tusk: What we need is to apply strong pressure on Russia
Paris, January 7 (Hibya) - Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that what they need is to apply strong pressure on Russia by using all the economic and political tools at their disposal.
Polish Prime Minister Tusk stated that in Paris, Europe, the US, Canada, and other allies spoke with one voice regarding security guarantees and Ukraine's future.
Tusk, who remains doubtful about Russia's intentions, said, "What we need is to apply strong pressure on Russia by using all the economic and political tools at our disposal."
Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof also expressed in Paris that the Coalition of Volunteers and the US have confirmed their willingness to make a significant contribution to security guarantees for Ukraine in the event of peace.
Schoof emphasized that these guarantees are necessary for the peace to be achieved and said:
"In this context, we will focus on jointly monitoring a potential ceasefire, strengthening the Ukrainian army, and ensuring Ukraine's security. Now, Russia must show that it is willing to secure this peace. If a peace agreement is reached, the Netherlands' final contribution will, of course, depend on political decision-making processes."
