UN Secretary-General Guterres sends message of condolences and support to Afghanistan
New York, September 1 (Hibya) - United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his full solidarity with the people of Afghanistan following the devastating earthquake.
In his statement, Guterres said: "I stand in full solidarity with the people of Afghanistan after the devastating earthquake that struck earlier today. I extend my deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wish a speedy recovery to the injured."
The UN Secretary-General emphasized that the United Nations team in Afghanistan is on the ground and is mobilizing all resources to deliver aid to those in need.
