Moscow, August 7 (Hibya) – Kremlin Foreign Policy Advisor Yuriy Ushakov stated that a preliminary agreement had been reached for a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, adding that the target date was set for next week.
Kremlin Foreign Policy Advisor Yuriy Ushakov commented on the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. Presidential Envoy Steven Witkoff.
Describing the meeting as business-oriented and constructive, Ushakov said, “Both parties can be satisfied with the outcome. Issues regarding further cooperation in the context of resolving the Ukraine crisis were discussed. It was reiterated that Russian-American relations can be built on a completely different and mutually beneficial scenario compared to developments in recent years.”
Ushakov stated that a preliminary agreement had been reached for a meeting between Presidents Putin and Trump, saying:
“It is widely known that yesterday D. Trump called several prominent European partners immediately after S. Witkoff’s report to discuss the matter. I would also like to note that we have begun informing our closest partners and allies about the issues discussed during the meeting using appropriate channels.”
Ushakov said that the target date for the meeting was set for next week: “However, both sides have started preparing directly for this important meeting, and it’s hard to say how many days the preparations will take.
