Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov received Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Beibut Atamkulov, who has completed his term, and thanked him for his contributions to strategic cooperation between the two countries.

Saidov noted that Atamkulov's tenure coincided with a historic period in Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan relations, emphasizing that the signing of the Treaty on Allied Relations between the two countries on December 22, 2022, marked an important turning point in bilateral ties.

He said the ambassador had personally made significant contributions to strengthening friendship, good-neighborly relations, and allied cooperation, recalling that these efforts were recognized by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who awarded Atamkulov the "Friendship" Order.

Saidov stated that they would always remember Atamkulov as a sincere friend of Uzbekistan and a successful diplomat, wishing him success in his new assignment.
