Xi Jinping and Putin hold phone call
Beijing, December 31 (Hibya) – Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin exchanged New Year greetings and reviewed joint projects for 2026.
According to CCTV, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone call.
In his message, Xi Jinping emphasized that 2025, in addition to marking the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, was a year in which concrete steps were taken in the comprehensive strategic coordination partnership between China and Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia–China relations gained strong development momentum in 2025 and delivered fruitful results.
Putin also noted that economic and trade cooperation expanded and that visa-free arrangements significantly facilitated cross-border interaction.
