Zelensky: Oil refineries in Omsk and Ukhta, Russia, were hit
Kyiv, October 9 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that attacks had been carried out on oil refineries in the Russian cities of Omsk and Ukhta, saying the target in Ukhta, about 1,900 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, was also hit.
Ukrainian President Zelensky announced that attacks had been carried out on the Omsk and Ukhta oil refineries in Russia.
In a statement on his social media account, Zelensky said one of the major oil refineries in Omsk had been targeted again, while the Ukhta oil refinery, located about 1,900 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, had also been hit.
Zelensky said the target in Ukhta was struck with An-196 RS unmanned aerial vehicles with a range of about 2,500 kilometers, while FP-6s, modified FP-1-type unmanned aerial vehicles, were used in the attack on the Omsk refinery a day earlier.
Zelensky said Ukraine continues to respond to Russia’s attacks and claimed that the operations are being carried out with high precision. He also said another data center had been hit, describing this as part of Ukraine’s response strategy.
Saying the attacks demonstrated the accuracy of Ukrainian forces, Zelensky concluded his statement with the phrase “Glory to Ukraine.”
