Al Sani met with Canadian Foreign Minister Anand
New York, September 24 (Hibya) - Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Sani met with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting discussed strengthening cooperation between the two countries, as well as recent developments in the region, particularly in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.
The two sides also discussed a number of issues of common interest.
Al Sani emphasized the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to reduce tension in the region through dialogue and peaceful means.
