Budrys: Our partnership has never been stronger
Vilnius, August 28 (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys emphasized the alliance and security partnership between Lithuania and Germany in a message marking the 35th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys highlighted the importance of bilateral relations with Germany, saying that Germany has been an unwavering ally since Lithuania regained its independence and that relations based on shared values and military cooperation are stronger than ever.
Drawing attention to the anniversary of relations, Budrys said, “35 years of friendship. Today, Lithuania and Germany are celebrating the 35th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations, and our partnership has never been stronger.”
Referring to Germany’s historic support, Budrys said, “Since Lithuania regained its independence, Germany has stood by our side as a reliable friend and an unwavering ally. Together, we have built a partnership based on shared values, mutual respect and a commitment to a safer and more prosperous Europe.”
Budrys concluded his statement by saying, “Today, the presence of the German Brigade in Lithuania is a powerful symbol of our unity, solidarity and trust.”
