IDF: Duvdevan unit soldiers carried out an operation in Balata camp
Jerusalem, May 2 (Hibya) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that soldiers from the Duvdevan unit conducted an operation in the Balata refugee camp to arrest a senior figure of the local terror infrastructure.
The IDF reported that Duvdevan unit soldiers conducted an operation in Balata camp to arrest a high-ranking member of the terrorist infrastructure in the area.
In the statement from the IDF, it was noted:
"During the searches, the suspect was shot and neutralized. Additionally, a handgun and magazines were found in the suspect’s vehicle. Another terrorist found in the house was arrested and taken in for questioning by security forces. The individual was identified as Omar Mustafa Abu Lil, a Nablus resident and one of the key figures in Balata’s terror infrastructure in recent years. He had been involved in a series of armed attacks on IDF forces in the Nablus area, although no casualties occurred. He was also known for transferring weapons to terrorist cells in Nablus and Jenin and for sheltering and aiding fugitives."
