UNRWA: About one-third of essential medical supplies out of stock
New York, May 2 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) released a statement on the situation in Gaza and the West Bank amid ongoing Israeli attacks.
According to the statement, following two months of siege in Gaza, UNRWA's stocks of flour and food packages have run out.
The statement noted that about one-third of essential medical supplies are no longer in stock. “Since the collapse of the ceasefire, UNRWA teams have delivered non-food items such as mattresses, tarpaulin sheets, tents, clothing, and hygiene supplies to around 100,000 families in the Gaza Strip.”
It was also reported that Israeli forces continue their operation in the northern West Bank, and that “UNRWA continues to provide essential services, including education and health care, to forcibly displaced Palestinians.”
