Kallas emphasized that the violation of Estonian airspace by Russian military aircraft was a provocation.

She noted that this was the third time in recent days that EU airspace had been violated, further escalating tensions in the region. Kallas stated that the EU stood in full solidarity with Estonia.

Kallas added that she was in close contact with the Estonian government, saying: “We will continue to support our member states in strengthening their defenses with European resources. Putin is testing the West’s resolve. We must not show weakness.”
