Lipavsky: Ukraine has repeatedly shown it wants peace, but Russia is merely stalling
Prague, 26 November (Hibya) – Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky stated that Ukraine has repeatedly demonstrated its desire for peace, but Russia is only stalling and continuing its attacks.
Czech Foreign Minister Lipavsky attended the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting.
Lipavsky stressed that any international initiative aimed at ending the war in Ukraine must fully respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and its right to self-defense. He added that any potential peace formula must also include security guarantees capable of deterring Russia from future aggression.
Lipavsky stated that Ukraine has shown its desire for peace many times, adding: “But Russia is merely stalling and continues its barbaric attacks.”
