Lithuanian Foreign Minister welcomes German Foreign Minister in Vilnius
Vilnius, January 5 (Hibya) — Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys met with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul. Budrys cited Germany’s commitment to collective security within the NATO framework and emphasized the importance of the German brigade for regional security.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Budrys hosted German Foreign Minister Wadephul in Vilnius today. Assessing the visit, Budrys said:
“Germany’s commitment to collective security sets an example within the NATO Alliance. The German brigade in Lithuania is a turning point for regional security and offers a historic opportunity to deepen our relations; we are bringing Germany closer to Lithuania and Lithuania closer to Germany.”
Minister Budrys noted that the visit is of great importance for strengthening cooperation between the two countries and enhancing regional security.
