Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni shared the state measures taken in response to the adverse weather conditions that hit the southern regions of the country following the Council of Ministers meeting.

Stating that a rapid response plan has been prepared for the disaster-hit areas, Meloni said: “The Government approved the declaration of a national state of emergency for Sicily, Sardinia and Calabria, the regions most affected by the recent severe weather conditions. At the same time, we have allocated 100 million euros for initial emergency relief efforts. The State stands by its citizens and communities.”

Emphasizing that the response process will be carried out in coordination with local administrations, Meloni noted: “The regions, with their presidents appointed as special commissioners, will have the appropriate tools and powers to intervene effectively and swiftly.”

Thanking the teams on the ground, Meloni concluded: “I would like to thank Minister Nello Musumeci, the Civil Protection Department, local authorities and everyone involved in this sector. In emergencies, Italy is an even more united community.”
