Herzog: The Israeli people can slowly begin to heal
Jerusalem, January 26 (Hibya) – Israeli President Isaac Herzog announced that following the return of the body of the last hostage, Ran Gvili, the yellow chair symbolizing the hostages has been removed from the Presidential Residence.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog stated that after 843 days of waiting, with the return of the last hostage, Major General Ran Gvili, a symbolic step was taken.
Speaking at a ceremony at the Presidential Residence, Herzog said: “The moment we waited for over 843 days has arrived. After the last hostage, Ran Gvili, returned home, we finally removed the yellow chair from the Presidential Residence.”
Thanking the U.S. administration, Herzog added: “Sharing this moment with my friend Mike Huckabee was symbolic; together we thanked President Donald Trump for his extraordinary leadership and determination to bring all the hostages home.”
Herzog concluded his statement by saying: “Tonight, the people of Israel can slowly begin to heal.”
