Mirziyoyev: Cooperation and sustainable development within the CIS are our priority
Tashkent, October 10 (Hibya) – President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev shared his vision for strengthening multilateral cooperation and supporting regional sustainable development during the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Heads of State Council meeting.
President Mirziyoyev attended the CIS Heads of State Council meeting today, where he outlined Uzbekistan’s strategies to enhance regional cooperation and promote sustainable development. He emphasized the importance of close dialogue and practical cooperation among CIS member states in the face of global economic uncertainty and rising geopolitical risks.
Mirziyoyev highlighted key areas of joint focus, including establishing rapid response mechanisms to economic changes, creating integrated information and logistics centers, developing special economic and industrial zones, innovatively planning the energy sector for the long term, and supporting youth-oriented innovation ecosystems.
He also stressed the importance of mutual recognition of diplomas and academic programs, harmonization of professional standards, and joint participation in major investment and infrastructure projects in Afghanistan.
