Over one thousand people evacuated in Spain due to wildfires
Madrid, August 11 (Hibya) - On Sunday, more than one thousand people were evacuated in northwestern Spain due to wildfires that intensified because of high temperatures and strong winds.
The president of the regional government of Castile and León, Alfonso Manueco, said that many of the fires are suspected to have been caused by arson.
The extreme heat affecting parts of the country is expected to continue at least until Thursday.
