Prime Minister Luxon: Exports grow our economy and create new jobs
Wellington, May 15 (Hibya) – New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon stated that promoting local products in global markets contributes to economic growth, supports employment, and boosts income.
During his visit to Vietnam, Luxon toured the facilities of Rockit Apples in Hawke’s Bay, noting that the company exports to over 30 countries and aims to ship more than 230 million apples by 2025.
Luxon said, “When we sell Kiwi products to the world, we grow our economy at the local level. Trade is a fundamental part of our economic growth plan, job creation, and raising wages.”
