President Zelensky expressed gratitude to President Erdoğan for hosting the direct talks in Ankara, stating, “This was exactly the message we needed.”

He noted that Ukraine attended the negotiations with a high-level delegation including representatives from the Foreign Ministry, Presidential Office, military, and all intelligence services, ready to make any necessary decisions for a long-awaited just peace.

Zelensky stated that the talks would begin with the participation of President Erdoğan and the Turkish delegation, and added that they are in contact with the US and expect high-level representation from Washington as well.

He mentioned that they have not yet received official confirmation regarding the level of Russian representation, adding, “So far, what we’ve observed points more towards a theatrical approach. We’ll decide on our next steps after the meeting with Erdoğan.”
