Saar met with Hennis
Jerusalem, January 4 (Hibya) – Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar emphasized during his meeting with the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis, that the disarmament of Hezbollah is crucial for both Israel’s security and Lebanon’s future.
Israeli Foreign Minister Saar met with the UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Hennis, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem. During the meeting, Saar said: “The disarmament of Hezbollah is of critical importance for both Israel’s security and Lebanon’s future.”
Saar noted that the Lebanese government and the Lebanese Armed Forces are making efforts in this direction, but stated that “Hezbollah’s attempts to rearm and reorganize, especially when assessed together with Iranian support, render these efforts insufficient.”
