Sixth round of political consultations held between Qatar and India
New Delhi, October 9 (Hibya) - The sixth round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Qatar and India was held in New Delhi to discuss bilateral cooperation and steps aimed at strengthening relations.
The sixth round of political consultations at the foreign ministry level between Qatar and India was held in New Delhi, the capital of India, on October 9, 2026.
According to a statement from Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the talks were co-chaired by Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, Secretary-General of Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Sripriya Ranganathan, Secretary for Consular, Passport and Visa Affairs and Overseas Indians at India’s Ministry of External Affairs.
During the consultations, cooperation between the two countries was reviewed, while opportunities to support and further develop bilateral relations were discussed.
The meeting was attended by Qatar’s Ambassador to India Mohammed bin Hassan Al Jaber and Al Johara Fakhro, Director of the Asian Affairs Department at Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as officials from both countries.
The statement said the consultations were a continuation of diplomatic contacts between Qatar and India and that the two countries continue to develop their relations in areas of common interest.
