Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha provided information on Russia’s latest air attacks and the foreign supply chains used in missile manufacturing.

Drawing attention to the scale of the latest attacks, Sybiha said: “Last night, Russia once again launched a massive combined attack against Ukraine, using ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones to terrorize our cities and our people.”

Pointing to the origin of the munitions used in the attacks, Sybiha said: “And once again, we find foreign-made components and technologies inside the weapons Russia uses to attack us.”

Reacting to the use of technologies from Western and allied countries in Russia’s military industry, the Foreign Minister said: “There is something fundamentally wrong with technology developed in countries that defend peace and security ultimately ending up inside Russian missiles launched at Ukrainian homes.”

Stating that this situation cannot be regarded as ordinary, Sybiha said: “This cannot be treated as an unfortunate side effect of global trade. Russia deliberately searches for sanctions loopholes, builds supply networks, uses intermediaries and third countries, and secures the critical components it needs to keep its war machine running.”

Emphasizing that sensitive components reaching Moscow increase its attack capacity, Sybiha warned: “Every such component that reaches Russia is an opportunity for Moscow to produce more missiles. Every loophole left open gives the Russian military-industrial complex more room to operate.”

Sybiha concluded his statement with the words: “Therefore, closing these loopholes is not a technical matter of sanctions compliance. It is a matter of saving lives.”
