Tsahkna: Sanctions are straining Russia’s war economy
Tallinn, December 27 (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said that sanctions against Russia have begun to take effect and that Moscow’s war economy has been severely damaged.
Tsahkna stated that sanctions imposed on Russia are now showing results and have seriously harmed Moscow’s war economy.
Noting that Russia continues its aggressive stance, Tsahkna emphasized that the European Union must keep increasing the cost of the war, underscoring the importance of the EU’s firm position and the necessity of implementing new sanctions steps.
Tsahkna said he expects the 20th sanctions package against Russia to be adopted as soon as possible, adding that the measures will increase pressure on both the Russian economy and its war-fighting capacity.
