UNRWA: Vital services for Palestinian refugees in Lebanon continue
New York, December 27 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon depend on the agency for basic services.
According to a statement by UNRWA, comprehensive support has been provided to refugees during this year alone. In this context, approximately 900,000 medical appointments were delivered, while 200,000 patients were treated at 26 UNRWA health centers. In addition, more than 35,000 students were provided with education at UNRWA-run schools.
The agency emphasized that, despite the challenges in the region, the uninterrupted continuation of essential services—particularly health and education—is of vital importance for Palestinian refugees.
