Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he held a meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. "We discussed the importance of supporting Ukraine's resilience and strengthening our positions at the negotiating table," said Zelensky, adding that they will do everything needed to achieve this.

Zelensky also stated:

"We also agreed to establish more contacts in the coming days. And while the entire world is already looking towards Christmas, we do not stop working even for a day to achieve our common goal – to bring peace and secure safety."
