Wadephul: Germany is assuming leadership responsibility within NATO
Berlin, May 21 (Hibya) - German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul recalled that the foundations of the “NATO 3.0” vision were laid in The Hague last year.
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul stated that the foundations of the “NATO 3.0” vision were laid in The Hague last year, explaining that they aim for Europe to take on a greater role within the alliance and to establish a new burden-sharing arrangement in line with Germany’s economic and military potential.
Emphasizing Germany’s increasing responsibility within the alliance and the goals of a new financial and military structure, Wadephul said, “Germany is assuming leadership responsibility within NATO. Our goal is to create a new burden-sharing arrangement within the NATO alliance that reflects the economic and military potential of Germany and Europe.”
