Yermak: Three Ukrainian children have been brought back from occupied territories
Kyiv, 26 November (Hibya) – Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, announced that three children were safely evacuated from the occupied areas.
Yermak stated that within the framework of the “Bring Kids Back UA” initiative, three children were safely extracted from the occupied territories.
He noted that a 17-year-old child had been evacuated earlier, but his 15-year-old brother and 12-year-old sister had remained under occupation with their parents. “Russian forces threatened the family, interrogated the parents and tried to force the children into a Russian propaganda school. Now, they are finally safe on Ukrainian-controlled territory,” Yermak said.
He also explained that another 16-year-old child had lived for nearly four years under constant surveillance by occupying forces. “Officials repeatedly came to his home and threatened his family because they refused to send him to a Russian school. In the end, our partners helped him escape, and today he has been reunited with his loved ones,” he added.
