Zelensky announced that he spoke with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda.

He thanked Lithuania and all Northern European and Baltic countries for their statements yesterday supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, as well as for their willingness to make diplomatic efforts, assist Ukraine, and strengthen sanctions against Russia. Zelensky said:

“We share the same view: first, a ceasefire must be achieved, and then a diplomatic solution should be sought that would make it possible to end the war with a just and lasting peace. Without clear security guarantees, any other arrangement would give Russia the opportunity to rebuild its forces. We discussed the situation on the battlefield and our needs. I thanked Lithuania for its contribution to the supply of Patriot systems to Ukraine.”
