Zelensky: We are strengthening our defense and energy cooperation with the United States
Kyiv, October 10 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reviewed the international efforts made during the first nine months of the year and outlined priorities for the next quarter, emphasizing that defense agreements and energy cooperation with the United States remain top priorities.
Zelensky assessed Ukraine’s international work over the past nine months and identified the key priorities for the coming period: oversight of defense packages and energy support, negotiations with the United States, and cooperation with Europe.
He noted that his upcoming visit to the U.S. will include Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, Presidential Office Head Andriy Yermak, and officials responsible for sanctions and defense matters. Zelensky added that initiatives such as the PURL and SAFE programs have enhanced Ukraine’s defense capabilities and played a vital role in the supply of Patriot and HIMARS missile systems.
Zelensky also stated that important agreements had been reached with Norway and the Netherlands on energy and recovery, emphasizing that Ukraine is fulfilling its obligations in the European Union accession process and expects the same level of commitment from Europe. He stressed that sanctions must target Russia’s oil revenues and missile production capabilities.
He concluded by saying that all these efforts directly contribute to Ukraine’s stability and security, expressing gratitude to international partners for their continued support.
