Zelensky: We are taking an important step in joint drone production with the Netherlands
Kyiv, October 10 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that a memorandum of understanding had been signed with the Netherlands on joint drone production as part of defense cooperation between the two countries.
President Zelensky announced the start of a new stage in defense cooperation with the Netherlands, noting that the two countries had signed a memorandum of understanding on joint drone production. He described the move as one of the most promising areas of bilateral cooperation.
Zelensky thanked the Dutch government, Prime Minister Dick Shoof, and the people of the Netherlands for their comprehensive support for Ukraine, stating that since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Netherlands’ assistance had reached $9 billion. He also expressed gratitude for a contribution of about $600 million under the PURL initiative.
During his meeting with Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans, the two discussed the development and implementation of joint drone production. Zelensky emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with the Netherlands and promoting solidarity between the peoples of both nations.
