Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Protests were also held in cities across the United States, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Washington, with organizers urging Americans not to go to work or school.

The deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti sparked local protests and triggered widespread public outrage nationwide, drawing criticism from lawmakers from both parties.

Early Friday, the U.S. Department of Justice launched a human rights investigation into Pretti’s death.

Pretti, a 37-year-old nurse, was the second Minneapolis resident to be shot and killed by federal immigration authorities since they arrived in the state. The first victim, Renee Good, was killed by an ICE agent on January 7.

Organizers of the protest, dubbed the “National Shutdown,” called on January 30 for “no work, no school, no shopping” and for “ending funding for ICE.”

According to the group’s website, the action was held to protest the deaths of Pretti and Good, as well as others killed by ICE, including Silverio Villegas-Gonzales, who was shot and killed by an ICE agent in September 2025.

Protesters formed the letters “SOS” on a frozen lake south of Minneapolis, while another group marched through the streets carrying a large-scale copy of the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution.

Singer Bruce Springsteen also performed his newly released song “Streets of Minneapolis” in memory of Pretti and Good at a concert in the city.
