Trump’s name appears hundreds of times in Epstein files
Washington, January 31 (Hibya) – In newly released Epstein files by the U.S. Department of Justice, the name of U.S. President Donald Trump appears hundreds of times. Trump had a friendship with Epstein, but says their relationship ended years ago and denies knowing about Epstein’s sexual crimes.
Among the new documents is a list of allegations against Trump stemming from calls made last year to the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center tip line. Most are based on unverified reports received by the agency and appear to have been made without supporting evidence.
The list includes numerous allegations of sexual abuse against Trump, Epstein, and other high-profile figures.
Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing related to Epstein and has never been accused of any crime by Epstein’s victims.
When asked about the latest allegations, both the White House and the Department of Justice pointed to a line in a press release accompanying the new batch of files.
The U.S. Department of Justice said: “Some of the documents contain unfounded and sensational allegations against President Trump submitted to the FBI shortly before the 2020 election. To be clear, these claims are baseless and false, and if they had even a modicum of credibility, they would have long since been weaponized against President Trump.”
