Estonian Foreign Minister Tsahkna said that Estonia’s state budget for 2026 has been approved and is now official.

Noting that next year the country’s defence spending will exceed 5 percent of GDP, Tsahkna said, “This is a clear commitment to ensuring Estonia’s security and strengthening NATO.”

Tsahkna also pointed out that Estonia has expanded its global presence by opening five new embassies and adopting a more effective approach to economic diplomacy, ensuring that the country’s economic interests are protected as diligently as its security concerns.
