Prevot: There are no longer any hostages in Gaza, this is the end of a long nightmare
Brussels, January 26 (Hibya) – Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Prevot announced that there are no longer any hostages in Gaza.
Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Prevot made a statement regarding the end of the hostage crisis in Gaza.
Referring to the humanitarian dimension of the process and the pain experienced by families, Prevot said: “There are no longer any hostages in Gaza. This is the end of a long nightmare; however, unfortunately, for many families, it marks the continuation or the beginning of a period of mourning. I extend my condolences to them and to the Belgian people.”
Emphasizing that Belgium’s diplomatic efforts in the region will continue, Prevot stated: “Belgium will continue its efforts to achieve lasting peace for everyone in the region.”
