Lula da Silva: Brazil stood out in international tourism in 2025
Brazil, January 27 (Hibya) – Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva stated that according to United Nations (UN) Tourism data, Brazil recorded a 37 percent increase in the number of international visitors in 2025, achieving growth above the global average.
Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva made a statement regarding the country’s growth figures in tourism.
Sharing tourism data, Lula said: “According to UN Tourism data, Brazil stood out in international tourism in 2025. We recorded a 37 percent increase in the number of international visitors; this growth rate is nearly ten times the global average.”
Emphasizing that this success is the result of the policies implemented, Lula stated: “This outcome is the fruit of an ambitious foreign policy that values our people, our culture, and our natural beauty, and repositions the country on the global stage.”
Lula concluded his remarks by saying: “It is also the result of the technical efforts of the Brazilian government focused on air connectivity, sustainability, and expanding destination diversity.”
