Kallas: The EU is discussing imposing additional sanctions on Iran
Brussels, 13 January (Hibya) – The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, announced that the EU is discussing the imposition of additional sanctions on Iran.
The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, Kallas, met with German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius.
Stating that the courage of the Iranian people is admirable, Kallas said that the brutal intervention of the security forces is unacceptable.
Noting that this intervention by the authorities reveals a regime that fears its own people, Kallas said: “The EU already has comprehensive sanctions against Iran. We are now discussing the imposition of additional sanctions.”
