Lahbib: Education and children must never be targets
Brussels, May 2 (Hibya) – EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib stated that education and children must never be targets.
Commissioner Lahbib reiterated her call on Israel to protect, rather than close, schools in the occupied Palestinian territories.
She emphasized that the closure of six more schools in East Jerusalem would deprive over 800 children of education and a hopeful future, saying: “Education and children must never be targets.”
