Lahbib: The people of Sudan need peace and unity
Brussels, 12 December (Hibya) – EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib stated that the situation in Sudan is worsening and that its people need peace and unity.
Commissioner Lahbib noted that the situation in Sudan is deteriorating further.
Announcing that more than 80 people were killed in a drone attack in Darfur, she said: “This tragic loss of life is unacceptable.”
Lahbib underlined that all parties to the conflict must respect international humanitarian law, adding: “The people of Sudan need peace and unity, right now.”
