Lahbib: When disasters occur, every minute matters
Brussels, 11 December (Hibya) – EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib emphasized that every minute matters when disasters occur and noted that they are maintaining dialogue with the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
Commissioner Lahbib stressed that every minute is crucial when disasters occur.
Referring to their ongoing dialogue with the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), she said: “We are discussing strengthening early warning systems and disaster preparedness to protect people and save lives.”
Lahbib underlined that cooperation between the EU and the WMO is key to advancing the global agenda for reducing disaster risk.
