Kyiv, 12 December (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held a meeting with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot to discuss peace efforts and upcoming key decisions.

Exchanging views on the results of the Volunteers’ Coalition leaders’ meeting, Sybiha said, “We agreed that this is an important format for shaping Europe’s security architecture.”
Briefing Barrot on the new dynamics in peace efforts, Sybiha noted that work is accelerating and gaining momentum.
Emphasizing the importance of strong security guarantees for lasting peace, Sybiha added:
“We coordinated our positions ahead of key events, including next week’s European Council meeting. I stressed the necessity and urgency of decisions on the full use of frozen Russian assets and the opening of Ukraine’s EU accession negotiation chapters.”
