Prevot: Venezuelans deserve a democratic and legitimate regime
Brussels, January 3 (Hibya) – Belgium’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maxime Prevot, said that Venezuelans deserve a democratic and legitimate regime.
Belgium’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maxime Prevot, stated that Venezuelans deserve a democratic and legitimate regime, but that under Maduro they have been deprived of it.
Saying that “Maduro must be held accountable for his actions,” Prevot added that international law must be respected under all circumstances.
Minister Prevot said: “We all need a dignified, rules-based order. We hope for a rapid de-escalation and a peaceful transition. The protection of civilians is essential.”
