Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez announced the launch of the Fifth National Exercise within the scope of combating crime, corruption, drugs, and social disorder.

President Bermudez stated that the initiative is directly linked to the country’s defense policies and the 2026 Economic and Social Program.

Expressing that the process aims to strengthen an atmosphere of stability and discipline, President Bermudez said: “We will continue to defend citizens' peace, internal order, and the well-being of our families.”

“It is essential for citizens to actively participate in opinion-forming processes, express their views, and carry out oversight within their communities,” Bermudez said, emphasizing that public order and the welfare of families will be protected.
